As a child, Sarah Alison loved using her voice. A lot. She started talking at eight months old, and hasn't really stopped since. Fascinated by the power of words and language, Sarah has never been known as "the quiet one. "Sarah began to cultivate her vocal technique and love of performing as a music major at UC Berkeley. She moved to Los Angeles after college, where she discovered her true calling: voice over acting. She has since voiced commercial and animation projects with such clients as Disney, S2 Games, Walmart, Acuvue, and many others. Sarah just completed the audiobook "Cloud Haven," and she recently completed voicing multiple characters for the video game "Heroes of Newerth."
This past year, Sarah has been happily honing her Improv acting skills (she has trained at Upright Citizens Brigade and takes weekly classes at the Actor's Improv Studio), and continues to keep her VO chops sharp with workshops and seminars.
She has trained with some of the best in the business, including Nancy Wolfson, Lori Alan, Richard Horvitz, and Bob Bergen.
Sarah specializes in younger voices (kids and teens), comedic and dramatic improvisation, authentic and cartoon dialects (including New York/New Jersey, American Southern, various UK regions, Indian, Australian and Japanese) and vocalizations (she's an especially good giggler). She is also a virtuosic whistler.
When she's not behind the mic, you can probably find Sarah hiking with her husband and their two rescue pups in the California sunshine, burning through books on her Kindle, or perfecting some of her many healthy recipes.
Sarah also has become passionate about bringing the joy of books and reading to children. Once a week, she reads to elementary schools as a member of BookPALS, an incredible volunteer program run through the SAG Foundation.
